It is with a sad heart that I must pass along the news that Adam Hedinger passed away May 02, 2016 at Rocky View Hospital in Calgary.
Adam made important contributions to Foothills Nordic and to the cross country ski community.
- Newsletter Editor for F.N.S.C for a number of years.
- Chief of Competition for the ‘Cookie Race’ for several years.
- He was a controller at Canmore during the 88 Olympics.
- He was Chief of Control for several World Cups.
- He received Cross Country Alberta’s award as volunteer of the Year.
Adam had a long battle with cancer, and could finally fight no more. The end was quick and peaceful, as he passed away in the ICU of the hospital.
There will be a funeral in Calgary with interment in the family plot at St. Albert.
Details will be announced as they become available.
