Foothills President, Michelle Deacon, was interviewed yesterday for CBC Radio’s Homestretch program. The success of Foothills’ Ski Confederation Project has given the City confidence to allow the Calgary Ski Club to harvest and make snow at the Shaganappi Golf Course in SW Calgary.
Michelle expressed her pleasure that even more cross-country skiing opportunities will be accessible for Calgarians. She also appealed to the generosity of Calgarians to either donate time or money to keep the ski trails at Confederation operating again this year.
If you missed the Homestretch interview, you can read the CBC story online at Homestretch Interview.
People interested in volunteering to assist with the Confederation trails are encouraged to email [email protected]. A link to donate to the Confederation grooming fund is on the Foothills website homepage – www.foothillsnordic.ca. Please pass on this information to your cross-country ski-loving community!
