Registration for the great Cookie Race closes Wednesday February 22 at 9:30 pm. You can register at www.cookierace.com.
Trail conditions are good and more snow is in the forecast.
We still need some key volunteers. Spectators, please consider volunteering – you’ll get a front-row seat! The sign-up sheet is at www.volunteersignup.org/BR4EH.
The Delta Kananaskis Lodge is giving racers a special discount. You can link to the hotel from www.cookierace.com. Lifesport and Norseman have provided some nice draw prizes!
Please carpool to the race if possible, and arrive a little early because you might have to park at the Peter Lougheed Visitor Information Centre, 3km down the highway. A free shuttle bus will run all day between the Visitor Centre and the start/finish line at Pocaterra Hut.
A note from our Cookie Monster….
The ski season’s fleeting; it’s moving apace.
It’s time to get out there. It’s time for a race!
The Cookie Race happens on this Saturday.
If you haven’t signed up yet, you best not delay.
Don’t worry about snow; we’ve got more than enough.
And the forecast calls for a foot of the stuff!
It won’t be too warm and it won’t be too cold,
For skiing conditions, we’re talking pure gold!
The cookie forecast also looks great,
With club members baking them up by the crate.
This year will be epic – we mean really the bomb!
Sign up by Wednesday at cookierace.com.
