The 39th Annual Cookie Race was held on February 27, 2016 in beautiful Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. Skiers as young as 3 to 4 years old skied 500 m while an 83 year old (and former Olympian) skied 24 km. 173 children and youth participated and all were awarded with medals that looked suspiciously like candy! Brian McKeever, also an Olympian, won the 42 km.  The home-baked cookies were delicious and consumed in copious amounts. A big thanks goes out to the many volunteers and to the course groomers.
