Part-time (10-15 hours/week), Seasonal
Foothills Nordic Ski Club is looking for a groomer to help track-set this winter at Fort Calgary, Lake Bonavista, as well as schools participating in the Ski at School program.
Ski Groomer Responsibilities
- Groom/track-set trails for cross-country skiing
- Load/unload trailer with grooming equipment
- Drive the trailer to and from each site
- Operate the groomer/track-setting equipment
- Coordinate with liaisons for each site to establish when/where to track-set
Ski Groomer Requirements
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Clean driving record
- Over the age of 25
- Basic knowledge of cross-country skiing
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to work alone and under minimal supervision
- Able to work outside and in the dark in winter conditions
Ski Groomer Preferences
- Actively cross-country ski
- Experience driving with a trailer, especially in winter conditions
- Experience operating an ATV
- Mechanical aptitude
