GOAL: Have fun and run as many laps as possible in the allotted time. For each lap, receive a popsicle stick. Each popsicle is eligible for prizes!

Athletes of Foothills Nordic Ski Club (FNSC) are going on a sport and culture exchange with athletes from both Ottawa and Halifax later this year. The Canada Sports Friendship Exchange Programs (CSFEP) exchanges are aimed at promoting friendship, respect and a better understanding and appreciation of each other’s language, culture, and Canadian heritage.
Instead of parents fundraising, our athletes are fundraising to do cool things with the athletes from Ottawa and Halifax when they visit Calgary. They have brainstormed things that they would like to do and are in the process of raising the funds. The largest and most difficult fundraising initiative is a ‘fun run’ for ages 4-17 so there’s a some parent help. Some of the other initiative, like bake sales and lemonade sales, will also be at the fun run. Other initiatives include bottle drives, make and sell bullet jewelry and hoodies.
Support FNSC exchange athletes and join the ‘fun run’ on September 16 at 10:30 at Canmore Park in Calgary.
There are two routes – ages 9 and under and 10 and up. Prizes!
