Foothills families spent another great weekend at the Lake Louise Hostel, where JR+, Track Attack, Biathlon Bears, Racing Bears, adult FAT skiers and their families got in lots of skiing!
Skiing was broken up by hostel activities: The Golden Egg Relay, organized and led by some of our amazing parent volunteers; and a presentation by three time biathlon Olympian, Zina Kocher, who is coming out of retirement in a bid for a spot on the Canadian Olympic Cross Country Ski Team. Zina talked to the kids about why she did sports as a kid – fun with friends and family and spending time outdoors. She also chatted about goal setting and shared some highlights about what she learned in her 16 year career on the national biathlon team. Best of luck Zina and thanks for inspiring Foothills’ young athletes.
Thanks to our amazing family of volunteers and coaches for making the Lake Louise early snow camp happen!
