
Longtime Foothills Nordic biathlete, Megan Bankes, won gold in the 12.5 km individual biathlon at the Biathlon Junior World Championships yesterday, a historic first for Canadian women at the Junior Championships!
At the age of 11 Megan started biathlon in the Foothills Nordic Racing Bears program. Originally from Calgary, AB, Megan now resides in Canmore, AB, and trains with the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre. In her spare time, Megan coaches the Foothills Nordic T1 Biathlon program.
