A message from the Cookie Monster to all Foothills Families:
I WANT COOKIES!
While in New Zealand, eating biscuits,
I was thinking about Cookie Race logistics.
But now I’m back from the sea and sun,
It’s time for skiing, snow and fun.
To fill me with cookies is such a huge ask,
But I know that Foothills families are up for the task.
One or two dozen from each of you,
Why not make it three, and try something new?
Chocolate chips are delish, I cannot deny,
But there’s lots more recipes for you to try.
Ginger snaps, chocolate drops, snickerdoodles too,
Coconut crisps, gluten free, to name but a few.
The soup is for skiers I’m sorry to say,
But your cookies are for ALL on Cookie Race day.
You are all so amazing in what you do,
The race wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t for you!
But making cookies is only part of the fun,
We need more volunteers to make the race run.
Timers, officials and marshals galore,
You can easily sign up using this link to Zone 4.
THANK YOU for taking the time to read this and for all your help in making the Cookie Race a great success! If you are interested in racing, you have exactly one more week to register at www.cookierace.com. Registration closes on Wednesday, February 21 at 9:30pm.
- Drop off your cookies from 4:30pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 20 to Thursday, February 22 at Confederation Park.
- As in previous years, there will be coolers next to the club trailer beside the car park for cookie drop off (follow signs).
- Pack cookies in zip-lock bags or containers that you don’t want returned.
- If you can’t drop off cookies at Confed, then bring them on race day or drop them off at 1335 7th Street NW, Calgary. (There will be a container at the front door all day, Tuesday through Thursday.)
Thanks again from the Cookie Monster and the Cookie Race Committee.
