If these guidelines change to become more restrictive, we may need to stop in person training, and will work to resume in person training as quickly as possible. Introduction to Competition (I2C) is a late entry to competitive racing program for beginners teenagers with the goal that participants will join our racing program (T1, T2 or LC) in 1-2 years.
Athletes will learn the basics of off season training through activities including: roller skiing, hiking, running, ski striding, strength training, and balance/agility. On snow, athletes will learn classic and skate skiing techniques. The development of aerobic fitness will be emphasized as well as having fun in a social environment. Skiers are encouraged to participate in competition and will be able to race many times during the season. Participants who have participated in other sports and are committed to attending practices will have the best success in this program.
