Ski At School Program

Foothills Nordic Ski Club proudly delivers Ski at School program, bringing cross-country skiing to elementary schools in Calgary. Foothills Nordic provides track setting, equipment and quality coaching to Calgary children, right in their own school yards. Contact us to find out how your child’s school can experience Ski at School!

First launched in 2010, with the support of AltaGas, Foothills’ Ski at School program was an instant success. This success led to Cross Country Canada and AltaGas launching Ski at School on a national level in 2016. Foothills Nordic continues to deliver the program in Calgary with five to seven elementary schools receiving three days of cross-country ski lessons in their own school yards, annually. Children are introduced to the sport by certified coaches in a fun environment, building fundamental movement skills and sport-specific skills for skiing.

Through the Ski at School program, Foothills Nordic is supporting healthy, active communities and providing school-aged children with access to the lifelong sport of cross-country skiing.
