Train To Train 2 (T2)
Train To Train (T2) Program
Train to Train 2 (T2) is for athletes racing in U16 (age 14-16). The aim of the program is to allow each individual to progress towards their goals as an athlete with the opportunity for many to qualify for provincial teams. Athletes can expect detailed training programs and should be prepared to train 400+ hours a year including independent workouts. Training sessions and workout modes are specifically catered to meet different athlete needs depending on their development. Dryland training includes: roller skiing (classic and skate), running, ski striding, hiking and strength training. Race support will be provided for Alberta Cups, Canada Cups, Western/Eastern Championships and Nationals.
Athletes must have previous club-level experience in nordic skiing. Registrants may only join with approval from the Head Cross Country Coach.
