Foothills Nordic earned the most club points and was Canada’s top biathlon club at the 2017 Canadian Biathlon Championships. A total of 29 Foothills athletes were named to represent Alberta and brought home a total of 31 medals!
Over the past 5 years Foothills Nordic has become the leading biathlon club in Canada. The Canadian Championships caps off an incredible season with strong showings at regional, national and international competitions, including four Foothills athletes named to Canada’s World Biathlon Championships team (Nathan Smith, Megan Bankes, Thomas Hulsman and Élise Sauvé).
